Garnock Valley Model Aircraft Club

Back in 1991, our model aircraft club was given permission by the Kilbirnie Loch Management Group to fly from Kilbirnie Loch, along with a lease from Cunninghame District Council to fly from the adjacent grass playing field, during daylight hours, every day of the year. The club has been active ever since.

Although competitions and national events have been held here in the past, the only events we currently hold are for model seaplanes, that take off from and alight on the loch, on two weekends in the year. The club cuts a grass runway in the field adjacent to the loch for our landplanes.

The club welcomes members of any age and ability, from any background and from anywhere in the UK, but now most members live locally and are retired.
